Did you Know?

1920 – Beginning of MCDA as a branch of the National Vocational Guidance Association called Minneapolis VGA. The name continues to change, next to Twin Cities Vocational Guidance Association

1944 – MN Vocational Guidance Association (new name) is formally incorporated

1971 – MVGA receives its state charter

1980 – National Vocational Guidance Association becomes National Career Development Association (NCDA)

1986 – MVGA changes name to Minnesota Career Development Association (MCDA)

1999 – MCDA incorporates as a 501(C)3 with the State of Minnesota
