I am excited and honored to serve as your president for 2019-2020. I have been involved in MCDA as a member and on the Board for many years, and am looking forward to the upcoming year in my new role!
The theme for this year is CONNECTIONS, and our focus is to connect and equip you with new and cutting edge topics and events to continue to grow your professional development.
We started the year in early September with a very successful webinar, ‘Behind the Mask: Understanding and Coaching to Invisible Disabilities’. Our Fall Event, ‘The Empowered Career Development Professional: Claiming your Craft!’ is coming up on October 24th! Register NOW here.
Throughout the year, we will also bring you Roundtable Events with many new topics and presenters. And our Mentor Program has launched another year with a great pairing of mentors and mentees! For almost 10 years, the Mentor Program has successfully served many members new to the field as well as those wanting an upgrade on their career path.
Note that the MCDA Spring Conference will be early this year. We are partnering with Normandale College and their Global Career Development Facilitator Program to bring you an exciting co-event in March. And, we are thrilled to be planning our welcome to and participation with our national group, NCDA, coming to Minneapolis in June 2020!
