MCDA Conference committee announces keynote speaker
The Minnesota Careers Conference is coming up on April 25 at Normandale Community College. We’re excited to share information on our keynote speaker, Dr. Kareen Watts, who has an impressive list of roles including Director of the Hedgeman Center for Student Diversity Initiatives and Programs at Hamline University, President of MNACPA, as well as a Hip Hop Artist/Poet & Educator, where he is also known as Kareen Elevated. His work is rooted in creating inclusive environments and advancing equity-driven initiatives.
Dr. Watts’ speech, “The Power of Storytelling, Resilience, and Cultural Wealth,” will challenge leaders across all sectors to recognize and celebrate the cultural wealth within their communities, while offering practical strategies to foster cultural responsiveness and allyship.
We look forward to hearing from Dr. Watts and invite you to join us. More information and registration can be found here on the MCDA website.
