Northland SIG

Northland Career Development Professionals Association (NCDPA) is a professional organization that serves career development professionals from Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin.  The group was designed to provide northland career professionals a local organization that offered the opportunity to network and grow professionally. Members come from diverse positions including career counselors, job developers, life coaches, vocational rehab specialists, and guidance counselors.  A wide variety of organizations are also represented including, but not limited to: The College of St. Scholastica, Duluth Public Schools, Lake Superior College, Northeast Regional Corrections Center, Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, Soar Career Solutions, University of Minnesota – Duluth, University of Wisconsin – Superior, and Duluth Workforce Development.

Workforce Readiness Credentials and Certifications
Current trends in pre-employment readiness include various “stackable” credentials. These serve as connections to skill levels necessary for a wide variety of occupations. Presenters will share knowledge gained and future ideas for use of these credentials.
