Coach-Approach to Career Assessments
At this workshop, you will: 1) Take a quiz to assess your coaching behaviors and skills, and then, identify your strengths and areas to develop; 2) Understand the Branton Coaching Model and the nine steps to a coaching conversation; 3) Receive the Branton Career Direction Model and solid career assessments that link to each building block; 4) Learn best practices for using career assessments in coaching; 5) Understand the distinctions between a coach-approach and a consultant approach to assessments; 6) Observe and evaluate a live coaching demonstration; and 7) Participate in small group activities.
PRESENTER: Nancy Branton, M.A., PCC, BCC
Nancy is the CEO and cofounder of Workplace Coach Institute℠, Inc. where she trains people to coach on leadership, people management, and career development. Also, she is the President of People Potential Group®, Inc. where she does career, life, and leadership coaching. She is an ICF-Professional Certified Coach and a Board Certified Coach (through the Center for Credentialing and Education). Also, she has a master’s degree in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology. To many, Nancy is regarded as an assessment expert. Prior to her coaching career, she had 30 years’ experience in human resources that included career assessment and development. She has a master’s degree in Industrial /Organizational Psychology.
