October RoundTable – Personal Branding
The Minnesota Career Development Association (MCDA) offers monthly RoundTable meetings that focus on selected career development topics to help us become better practitioners. RoundTables also serve as a time to network with colleagues working in a variety of sectors. Note that you do not need to be a MCDA member. We encourage you to spread the word to your non-MCDA member colleagues!

October’s exciting topic: PERSONAL BRANDING
Is perception reality?
What are other’s perceptions of you?
Have you ever Googled yourself?
When you see brands (e.g. companies, products, services, etc.) somewhere, you tend to associate them with a certain set of expectations or perceptions that are connected with a product or service. You associate these concepts, thoughts and images with these companies because of the brand each company has established.
This month’s discussion about the simple concepts of Personal Branding will include:
- How we as career development professionals can enhance our own brand.
- How to enhance the brand of our clients/students.
- How to prepare clients/students to leave a footprint relevant to their passion.
- Helping clients/students to establish stronger credibility and visibility.
- Create a more competitive edge.
- Be able to surround themselves with those that compliment their strengths.
We all have superpowers, but do we know how to make them know? Join us for a fun, interactive and informational discussion.
