When you first get laid off you think you know how to find your next job. First, get a resume. Second, go to Monster…
As you know, it just doesn’t work that way. As a job seeker, Jason wanted real strategies and tactics that would help him land a job. Similar to many of your clients, he didn’t want canned advice – he thought he was different than the normal job seeker. This presentation is all about what he wanted, and what job seekers need, today. Make sure you communicate and “package” your offering well to your clients so they are not just getting band-aid advice (to help them find a job right now), but prepare them for the transitions that will come during their career.
This special presentation is designed for career practitioners and will leave you with specific ideas on how to reframe, repackage and redesign your offerings, and prepare your clients for many years of career management success.
Jason Alba thought his career was pointed in the right direction, and he was set to be a big company executive. When he got laid off, he had no idea how his plans would change. The former IT manager and programmer found himself in a job search that grew more depressing by the week. Realizing there were gaps in the job search process, he set out to understand what he was doing wrong, and came up with the idea for JibberJobber.com. JibberJobber, founded in 2006, has since helped many tens of thousands of people organize and manage the complexities of their job search. Jason stumbled upon writing a book, which again changed his direction and propelled his career and business forward. Today he is author of multiple books, professional speaker, trainer and consultant. Most of all, he’s a husband of 16 years and father to five usually-adorable children.
