MCDA RoundTable Coordinator
(2-3 volunteer positions)
The Minnesota Career Development Association (MCDA) offers monthly RoundTable meetings that focus on selected career development topics to help us become better practitioners. RoundTables also serve as a time to network with colleagues working in a variety of sectors. Events are free and usually include light dinner. Attendees do not need to be MCDA members.
- Coordinate details with MCDA Board Liaison
- Help recruit RoundTable facilitators and topics
- Communicate event details with facilitator (pick location, get topic description)
- Schedules RoundTable (usually evening in third week of month on Tues, Wed or Thurs)
- Reserve room for event, if needed
- Promote RoundTable via e-mail and Internet
- Track RSVPs of attendees
- Order and pick up food for event
- Share hosting duties during RoundTable (welcome, announcements, intros, watch time, clean up if needed)
- Enjoy the Roundtable discussion and network with attendees
